After a dominating performance with the bat, the South Africa Women’s side advanced to the final of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024. The defeated defending champions Australia Women’s Team by eight wickets.
Chasing the 134-run target against the quality Australia Women’s National Team, Laura Wolvaardt and co. delivered a near-flawless performance. The South Africa Women’s National Team chased the said target in just 17.1 overs losing two wickets. Anneke Bosch remained unbeaten on 74 runs in 48 deliveries while captain Laura Wolvaardt gave the team a great start with 42 runs inning. Earlier South Africa Women’s Team held Australia to 134 runs with wickets from Ayabonga Khaka, Marizanne Kapp and Nonkululeko Mlaba.
