South Africa are through to the semi-final stage of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024 after defeating West Indies by three-wickets via DLS method. Even after some challenges the Proteas prevailed.
After restricting the West Indies National Cricket Team to a modest total of 135 runs in 20 overs, it was an easy target to chase in for the strong batting lineup of the South Africa National Cricket Team. But because of some challenges South Africa was only able to chase the target in the very last over. Rain came in and South Africa then needed to chase 123 runs in 17 overs. Marco Janse smashed a six on the first ball of the last over and South Africa qualified for the semi-finals of the ICC T20 World Cup 2024. Tabraiz Shamsi for his impressive three-wicket haul was awarded with the Man of the Match award.
