Yashodha Lanka was dismissed for obstructing the field during the SL A vs PAK A semifinal match in the ACC Men's T20 Emerging Teams Asia Cup 2024 on October 25. This happened in the third over of the innings when the right-hander, who was initially at the non-striker's end scampered back for a third run when he was struck by the ball which was in line of the throw, towards the wicketkeeper. Yashodha Lanka watched the ball all along but could not get out its way with Pakistan Shaheens players appealing big time. The decision was reviewed by the third umpire who deemed it to be out.
