Liverpool have announced that they will retire the no. 20 jerseys, across all levels of the club, "in honour and memory of Diogo Jota". Star Portuguese forward Diogo Jota died at the young age of 28 years, on July 3, 2025, after suffering in a tragic car crash. His brother Andre Silva also passed away in the car crash.
