Angel Gomes suffered a nasty blow to his head and had to be stretchered off during the Reims vs Lille match in Ligue 1 2024-25 on Saturday, August 17. The former Manchester United player was caught in a collision with Stade de Reims defender Amadou Kone and instantly fell to the ground. In a video which has gone viral, the midfielder was seemingly knocked out cold and did not move at all as the players rushed towards him. Later on, fans of both teams chanted his name as he was stretchered off the pitch. It was reported by the Mirror that he was taken to the hospital after this injury.
