Fire broke out in one of the stands before the high-octane Ajax vs Feyenoord Eredivisie clash would start at the Johan Cruyff ArenA on Sunday, March 20. The fire reportedly started due to a flare by the fans. A banner of the home side then caught fire and thick black smoke emerged behind one of the goals as players were on the pitch.
