Tottenham Hotspur were knocked out of the Carabao Cup after they suffered a defeat on penalties to Fulham on Wednesday, August 30. The scoreline read 1-1 at the end of regulation time after Fulham had taken the lead through an own goal by Micky van de Ven in the 19th minute. Spurs fought back though with Richarlison levelling the score in the 56th minute. The match then went to penalties where Spurs' Davinson Sanchez missed while all five of Fulham's penalty-takers found the back of the net. Premier League 2023–24: Arsenal Held to 2–2 Draw at Home by 10-Man Fulham.
