The Indian women’s National football team began its SAFF Women’s Championship 2024 with a 5-2 win against Pakistan National Football Team in the tournament opener at the Dasarath Stadium in Kathmandu, Nepal. Grace Dangmei opened the scoring for India and added another in the 42nd minute while Bala Devi, Jyothi, and Manisha Kalyan scored one goal each. The Indian side will face defending champions Bangladesh next on October 23.
