Jules Kounde Set To Miss El Clasico Against Real Madrid, Barcelona Confirms Defender Sidelined With Knee Injury
This season, Jules Kounde has been a near-permanent fixture in the Catalans' backline, appearing in all 11 of their games across all competitions and starting ten of them.
Barcelona has officially verified that Jules Kounde has sustained a knee injury after colliding with a teammate inside his own box. He was later replaced during the game against Granada. Initial scans ruled out a catastrophic injury, but after more tests today, Barcelona confirmed that he had sprained his left knee. According to reports, the French international will miss nearly five weeks of action and will therefore be unable to face Real Madrid in the opening El Clasico of the season on October 28.
