Celtic have stunned Manchester City in the club friendly contest. Cityzens did not look like their absolute best as not all first-team players were present for the friendly. They will be looking to perform better going further into the 2024-25 season.
Manchester City did not have a great start to their pre-season as Celtic prevailed over the Premier League champions by a scoreline of 4-3. Nicholas-Gerrit Kuhn scored a brace for Celtic. Kyogo Furuhashi and Luis Palma scored a goal each in the 44th and 68th minute of the game. Oscar Bob, Maximo Perrone and Erling Haaland put the ball inside the net for Manchester City but was not enough in the end. Cityzens ended their season with a defeat against Manchester United in the FA Cup 2023-24 final.
