Gagan Narang Offers Words of Encouragement to Sarabjot Singh After He Narrowly Misses Out on Spot in Men’s 10M Air Pistol Event Final at Paris Olympics 2024
Sarabjot Singh made a remarkable comeback in the event and almost made it to the final, only to narrowly miss out as he shot one inner 10 less than that of eighth-placed Germany's Robin Walter. The top eight qualify for the final and Sarabjot finished ninth in the qualification round.
Gagan Narang, India's Chef de Mission for Paris Olympics 2024, offered words of encouragement to Sarabjot Singh after he narrowly missed out on a spot in the final of the Men's 10M Air Pistol event on Saturday, July 27. With the top eight shooters qualifying for the next round, Sarabjot finished ninth with a score of 577, the same as Germany's Robin Walter, who ended in eighth place. Sarabjot failed to qualify because he hit one less inner 10 (16) as compared to the German (17). Narang took to social media to share an Instagram story he penned for the young shooter, a part of which read, "No one can understand how Sarabjot feels like I do. Chin up, you have one more event. You got this." Manu Bhaker Enters Her First Olympic Final; Salvages India's Underwhelming Day in Shooting at Paris Olympics 2024.
