India Win 100 Medals in Asian Games 2023 at Hangzhou, Achieve Feat for the First Time in Asiad History
India have had a very good time in Asian Games this year with athletes making the nation proud across several disciplines. The previous best medal tally which India had at the Asian Games was 70, achieved in the 2018 edition of the games in Jakarta-Palembang.
History has been created as India have won 100 medals in Asian Games 2023! This is the very first time that the country has bagged a century of medals in the history of this continental event. The 100th medal came from India's women's kabaddi team, which beat Chinese Taipei in the final to win the gold medal in this event. More medals will be added to India's tally in the Asian Games this year. If one might remember, India had sent its largest-ever contingent--a total of 655 athletes-- to the Asian Games this year.
