Jyothi Surekha Vennam won the gold medal in the women's individual compound archery event at the Asian Games 2023. She beat South Korea's South Korea’s Chaewon So 149-145 to clinch the gold medal. This was her third gold medal in this edition of the Asian Games. Her compatriot Aditi Gopichand Swami has won the bronze medal in this event, beating her opponent from Indonesia. These two medals have taken India's overall medal tally to 97.
