The Indian para-archer had a spectacular start but could not capitalise and unfortunately ended up on the losing side in the quarterfinal. Pooja Jatyan had beaten Turkey's Yagmur Sengul to enter the quarterfinal.

Pooja Jatyan suffered a heartbreaking defeat to China's Wu Chunyan in the quarterfinal of the Women's Individual Recurve Open para-archery event at Paris Paralympics 2024 on September 3. The 27-year-old started on a high and was 4-0 up at one stage and needed a nine to win the match. But in a dramatic turn of events, she went on to lose the next three to the Chinese para-archer. With the 4-6 defeat to the two-time Paralympics medalist, she bowed out of the event. Pooja Jatyan however will still be in action in the mixed team recurve event alongside Harvinder Singh.
