The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) successfully launched the third and final developmental flight of the SSLV-D3/EOS-08 mission. The SSLV rocket was launched from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh. After the launch, ISRO said that the third developmental flight of SSLV was successful. It also said that the SSLV-D3 rocket placed EOS-08 precisely into orbit. "This marks the successful completion of ISRO/DOS's SSLV Development Project," ISRO's tweet read. The SSLV-D3-EOS-08 mission follows the second successful launch of the second test flight of the Small Satellite Launch Vehicle (SSLV-D2-EOS-07) in February 2023. The space agency said that the primary objectives of the SSLV-D3-EOS-08 mission include designing and developing a microsatellite, creating payload instruments compatible with the microsatellite bus, and incorporating new technologies required for future operational satellites. SSLV Rocket Launch Today: Countdown Begins for ISRO’s Third and Final Developmental Flight SSLV-D3-EOS8 Mission.
