A video of the World Trade Centre collapse on September 11, 2001, has gone viral after being digitised and uploaded by YouTuber Kei Sugimoto. Filmed from the roof of 64 St Marks Place in NYC, the footage provides unique angles, including explosions during the towers' collapse. Sugimoto, who was 24 at the time, used a Sony VX2000 with a teleconverter to shoot the video. The clip, released two days ago, highlights perspectives from the North and West, unlike most other known footage. In his YouTube description, Sugimoto explained that he discovered the tape while digitizing old videos due to age-related degradation. “I was cleaning my closet and found boxes full of Hi-8, Digital-8, and DV tapes. When trying to play them back I noticed that maybe about a 3rd of them had demagnetized over time and were either blank, or suffering from major data corruption. After researching online I learned that video tapes are not immune from age even when stored in ideal conditions, so I franntially started to digitize them. Thus I'm just uploading the video now,” Sugimoto wrote in Youtube description of the video. The video has sparked widespread interest and discussion across various platforms, emphasising the enduring fascination and debate surrounding the events of 9/11. 9/11 Terror Attack: Video of Saudi 'Spy' Recording US Capitol and Washington Monument Months Before September 11 Attacks Raises Questions About Saudi Arabia's Involvement.
