The fast-food giant announced on Sunday, October 27, that the popular burger will return to all US locations next week. Following the outbreak, which has resulted in one death and nearly 75 reported illnesses, McDonald’s ruled out beef patties as the source of contamination. "We remain very confident that any contaminated product related to this outbreak has been removed from our supply chain," said Chief Supply Chain Officer Cesar Pina. As per reports, testing by the Colorado Department of Agriculture found all subsamples from various lots of McDonald’s beef patties tested negative for E coli, and no further samples are expected.
