Thailand's Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin was removed from office on Wednesday by the Constitutional Court over an ethics violation. The court found Srettha guilty of appointing a Cabinet member previously imprisoned for attempting to bribe a court official. The decision, reached by a narrow 5:4 vote, has further unsettled Thai politics, following the recent court-ordered dissolution of the main opposition party. Despite Srettha's removal, the current Cabinet will continue to function on a caretaker basis until Parliament selects a new prime minister. There is no set deadline for Parliament to appoint Srettha's successor. Thailand Recognises Same-Sex Marriage: Cabinet Approves Marriage Equality Bill, Announces PM Srettha Thavisin.
