Azam Khan was dismissed in one of the most bizarre manners after he was struck by a bouncer from Shamar Springer and the ball ended up going on to hit the stumps. This happened in the second innings of the Antigua and Barbuda Falcons vs Guyana Amazon Warriors match in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2024 when the bouncer caught Azam on his neck after he attempted and missed a shot. He then tried to stop the ball but both it and his bat ended up breaking the stumps. The Pakistan wicketkeeper-batter was attended to on the field after this.
