Colin de Grandhomme, New Zealand all-rounder, celebrates his 34th birthday today. Grandhomme was born on July 22, 1986, in Harare, Zimbabwe. In 2006, Grandhomme moved to Auckland, New Zealand. He represented Zimbabwe at the Under-19 Cricket World Cup in 2004. The all-rounder had also played for Zimbabwe A and Zimbabwe Under-23 teams before shifting to New Zealand. 40 off 17 Balls, RCB vs SRH, IPL 2018: Playing for RCB, Grandhomme slammed 40 off just 17 balls as he helped his side post 2018 for six in 20 overs. The all-rounder came in at number five and provided RCB the impetus towards the end. During his knock, Grandhomme smashed four sixes and a four. RCB eventually won the match by 14 runs.

3/4, KKR vs RCB, IPL 2017: In 2017, RCB were dismissed for 49 while chasing paltry 132 against KKR. It remains the lowest team total in IPL history. Grandhomme picked three wickets in that game as he gave away just four runs from 1.4 overs. He cleaned up RCB’s tail to hand them the lowest-ever team total as KKR won by 82 runs.

36 off 19 Balls, KKR vs RPS, IPL 2017: While playing against now discarded Rising Pune Supergiant (RPS), Grandhomme batting at number six smashed 36 off just 19 balls, which included three fours and two sixes. The all-rounder’s cameo helped Knight Riders post 155 for eight in 20 overs. However, RPS chased down the total with four wickets in hand.
