The Indian bowlers had a quite a bad start in the first T20I against New Zealand, 2019. The hosts battered the Indian bowlers left, right and centre and gave a blistering start to the team. On one hand, where Colin Munro made way to the pavilion on the score of 34 runs, Tim Seifert played fearlessly and continued to dominate the visiting bowlers. Seifert made 84 runs from 43 balls hitting seven fours and six maximums. But, Dinesh Karthik proved to be a silver lining for the Indian team as he took a stunning catch to dismiss Daryl Mitchell on the score of 8 runs. Mitchell went on to hit big for a moment it looked as if Karthik would grab the ball after overstepping on to the boundary. But the wicketkeeper-batsman exhibited the presence of mind and threw the ball into the air, dived further inside the boundary and got the catch. The Kiwis had scored 164 runs when Karthik took the catch. Dinesh Karthik, however, had dropped a couple of catches. Check out the video below:
