India headed into tea on Day 1 with the scoreline reading 176/6. Ravi Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja, two of the most experienced members of the Indian cricket team, have joined forces and they will hope to take the team to a position of control with a good partnership. A lot of the spotlight would be on the local boy Ashwin, who looked confident in his time out at the crease.
