India have made an impeccable start in their first ever-day night Test against Bangladesh. The pace troika of Umesh Yadav, Ishant Sharma, and Mohammed Shami made ideal use of the new pink ball and dismantled the visitors’ top-order. India have scalped four wickets inside the first 10 overs and have given their side an upper hand in the match. The pink-ball was expected to favour the fast bowlers and the Indian pace battery did the inevitable. Bangladesh’s decision of batting first completely backfired and are reeling at the moment. India Vs Bangladesh, Cricket Score 2nd Test Match.

Ishant Sharma drew the first blood and became the first Indian to a wicket from the pink-ball. He dismissed opener Imrul Kayes with a sharp inswinger and the batsman was dismissed for four. The lanky pacer was followed by Umesh Yadav who claimed the wicket of Skipper Mominul Haque courtesy a brilliant catch by Rohit Sharma. After that, the series of the following wickets continued as the visitors lost two more wickets. India vs Bangladesh Day-Night Test 2019 Sessions' Schedule: Timings of Lunch, Three Sessions.

The pink-ball still looks brand new and it will be interesting to see, how more damage the pacers will do. On the other hand, the Bangladeshi middle order will have the onus of bringing the innings back on the track in order to post a competitive first-innings total. However, with the way the pacers are bowling, any sort of comeback by the Bangla Tigers is highly unlikely. Virat Kohli and Co won the first Test by an innings and 130 runs and hence have taken a 1-0 lead. So, a victory in the ongoing match will seal the deal for them which looks on the cards.
