AFG A Win By 20 Runs | India A vs Afghanistan A Highlights of ACC Men's T20 Emerging Teams Asia Cup 2024 Semifinal: Afghans Pull Off Shock Win Over India A, Enter Final vs Sri Lanka A

Afghanistan A have beaten India A by 20 runs to enter the ACC Men's T20 Emerging Teams Asia Cup 2024 final! No one would have expected this to happen but Afghanistan A have pulled off a massive result, one that would give them a lot of confidence heading into the final! Sediqullah Atal and Zubaid Akbari smashed half-centuries while Karim Janat struck some powerful blows to take the team to a strong total. In response, India A lost wickets at regular intervals but Ramandeep Singh kept the fight alive with a solid half-century. In the end, it was too much for him to get as they crashed out after a good run in the group stage! What a day it has been for Asian cricket, with the two powerhouses-India and Pakistan, teams which were tipped to make the final, being eliminated. A big result for Afghanistan cricket and it will surely be remembered for a very long time to come. 

India A need 30 runs to win off six balls with Ramandeep Singh on strike. Can he pull this one here! Or will Afghanistan A pull off a big upset?

Ramandeep Singh and Nishant Sindhu are leading the charge for India A as the game heads towards a tense finish. India A need 68 runs to win off 24 balls and this game is not done yet! 

OUT! India A lose Ayush Badoni and it is another big blow! Ayush Badoni hit it high in the air with Sharafuddin Ashraf being the bowler. Abhishek Sharma and Prabhsimran Singh have begun the run chase for India A with three runs off the first over. The batting has to put up a great show, especially in the powerplay if India A are to chase this down. 

Afghanistan have posted a massive 206/4 on the board. This is a big score and is the highest of the tournament so far. The Afghanistan A batters attacked right from the outset and capitalised on anything loose. Zubaid Akbari and Sediqullah Atal scored 64 and 83 respectively while Karim Janat smashed 41 runs off just 20 balls to help Afghanistan A post a big total on the board. For India A, Rasikh Salam took three wickets and was the best of them all.

OUT! Rasikh Salam has struck again, this time dismissing the Afghanistan A captain Darwish Rasooli. The right-hander ended up dragging the ball onto the stumps and Afghanistan A have lost two wickets in as many balls. Rasikh Salam is on a hat-trick for a second consecutive time in the tournament. OUT! Rasikh Salam has struck and dismissed Sediqullah Atal! This time, the ball hit the stumps as the southpaw missed it and India A would be relieved to have this wicket. A big blow for Afghanistan! 

Karim Janat and Sediqullah Atal have taken Afghanistan to a position of comfort, and they will eye a big score from here on. India A will look to do well in these death overs and prevent Afghanistan A getting past 200 or 220. 

OUT! There's some respite for India A finally but it has come after a bit of chaos. The left-hander attempted a flick but appeared to edge the ball with Prabhsimran Singh taking the catch. The umpire, after not giving it out initially, passed it to the third umpire who after a while, deemed it to be out. The onslaught by both Afghanistan A openers continues, with Rahul Chahar conceding 31 runs in the 13th over. There were four sixes hit in the over and it summed up how poor India A bowling has been today. Afghanistan A are coasting to a big total here. 

FIFTY for both Zubaid Akbari and Sediqullah Atal have scored half-centuries and the onslaught continues against India A. Tilak Varma and co have been left stunned with both these players not allowing India A to make any sort of comeback whatsoever. 

We are at the halfway mark in this match and Afghanistan A find themselves in a position of control. India A need to break this partnership and do so in quick time. Afghanistan A, from this position, can eye a total of around 200 but India A would ideally want to restrict them to 180. 

The Afghanistan onslaught is showing no signs of stopping! Zubaid Akbari and Sediqullah Atal have taken the attack to India A bowlers. Tilak Varma and his team desperately need a moment of inspiration from somewhere which can bring them back into this match. 

Zubaid Akbari and Sediqullah Atal have been superb in the powerplay, scoring  61 runs. Both openers have taken the attack to the Indian bowlers and Tilak Varma and co desperately need a wicket to bounce back after this sensational start. 20 runs have come off the sixth over bowled by Aaqib Khan.
