India also have a great track record against South Africa in the Test series at home. India have played 6 home series against South Africa winning 3. South Africa won just once in 1999-2000 and are yet to out-shadow India in an away Test series. 2 Test series ended in a draw. India have a chance to add one more home series victory against the Faf Du Plessis-led side.

On the other hand, South Africa have a great ability to make a comeback. In the T20I series too, they bounced back in the 3rd T20I and levelled the T20I series 1-1. So, it is possible that South Africa may make a comeback in the series again. Dean Elgar, Quinton de Kock and Faf du Plessis are some key players to watch out for in Proteas team. On the Indian side, Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Ravichandran Ashwin, Mohammed Shami and Ravindra Jadeja are key players to look out for.
