West Indies have named their list of reserve players for the upcoming ICC Cricket World Cup 2019. And senior all-rounder duo of Kieron Pollard and Dwayne Bravo have been named in the list. Pollard has been in good form in recently concluded Indian Premier League 2019 (IPL 2019) and also won the title with Mumbai Indians. Reportedly, Interim Chairman of Selectors, Robert Haynes believes that a player as experienced as Pollard should make it to the final squad. The all-rounder last played an ODI back in 2016 against Pakistan in the UAE.

Interestingly, Bravo has been named in reserve players as well. The experienced all-rounder announced his retirement from international cricket last year. Haynes, meanwhile, speaking to media said: "the choice of players in the reserve list is to really cover our bases and ensure we have a good balance in the pool of players that can be selected if replacements are required. We think the skill set in this pool is strong with a good blend of experience and upcoming young players who can be ready to contribute when required.”
