Match Called Off Due To Rain | KKR vs PBKS IPL 2025 Highlights: Persistent Rain Ensures Teams Share One Point Each

So, the untimely rains have ensured that the IPL 2025 match between Kolkata Knight Riders and Punjab Royals is called off. The rain had stopped for a bit, but it returned with more gusto, which forced match officials to call off. Punjab Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders share a point each, which might help PBKS later ahead of the playoffs qualification. 

A start looks tough, given how steady the rain has become in Kolkata. The ground, too, looks full of puddles, with water seeping under the covers. Reminder, both teams will be handed a point each in case the match gets called off.

Fifty!  After Priyansh Arya, now Prabhsimran Singh reaches his half-century. Singh got to his half-century in 38 balls, which featured two fours and four sixes. This is Singh's fifth fifty in IPL.

Pretty solid start for Punjab Kings, both openers, Prabhsimran Singh and Priyansh Arya, are nearing respective half-centuries. Arya has been the aggressor of the two batters. KKR bowlers have looked pedestrian, as has been the case this season.

This is a swift start by Punjab Kings openers, mainly Priyansh Arya, who has taken the charge and has latched onto any loose ball on offer. Vaibhav Arora once again is expensive, and Sakariya, who is playing his first game this season showcasing a bit of rustiness. 

A good over for PBKS, Vaibhav Arora got smacked for two boundaries. KKR bowlers mustn't leak runs aplenty, given the lack of confidence their batters have. Solild start for Priyansh Arya already.
