Mayank Agarwal registered his second Test double hundred in the ongoing 1st India vs Bangladesh 2019 with a gigantic Test. The opener resumed from where he left off against South Africa and smashed the Bangla Tigers to all the parts of the ground. He took mere 304 deliveries to go to the landmark and is still going strong. During the course of his innings, he smashed 25 fours and five gigantic sixes. In the process, he also became the second-highest run-scorer in 2019 Test matches. Earlier, the right-handed batsman also scored his third Test ton and put India on the commanding position. He started his innings in the last session of Day 1 and was watchful from the start. Batsmen like Cheteshwar  Pujara, Virat Kohli and Ajinkya Rahane came and went in front of him. However, the opener didn’t lose his concentration and played a memorable knock. Talking about the match, Bangladesh scored 150 runs in the first innings after choosing to bat first. In reply, the Indian batsman continued their good run in the longest format of the game as India have extended their lead over 200 runs. Apart from Agarwal, Cheteshwar Pujara (54) and Ajinkya Rahane (86) mustered half-centuries. While Indian Skipper faced a rare failure and got perished for a duck. Nevertheless, the hosts are still on a commanding position and with Agarwal and Ravindra Jadeja on the crease, they will eye to muster a mammoth first innings total in order to give the Bangla Tigers an innings defeat.
