Kaif pointed out a tweet from Pakistan journalist Sad Sadiq from 2018 in which the youngster’s age was mentioned to be seventeen. ‘Highly rated 17-year-old pace bowler Nasim Shah who was signed by Quetta Gladiators for the Pakistan Super League has suffered a back injury. He is back in training and hopes to be fit for PSL4’ was the tweet from Sad Sadiq. Quoting this tweet the former India cricketer took a dig at the youngster saying that he is aging backwards. ‘Looks a terrific prospect. To add fuel to the fire another twitter user shared an article from 2016 where the Pakistani bowler is mentioned to be sixteen. Sir Andy Roberts praises the young pacer and is quoted saying ‘I must say that I very much liked a young fast bowler by the name of Nasim. He is just sixteen years old. I am sorry that I did not have at least two-three weeks to work with him’.This has brought up the age issue controversy in Pakistan once again. Last time Pakistan cricket were under fire regarding the age controversy, when Pakistan legend Shahid Afridi mentioned his real age in his book ‘Game Changer’.
