Prithvi Shaw had proved his mettle in the Test series against West Indies. On high hopes did the Indian opener go to Australia. But unfortunately, he got injured as he was attempting a catch against Cricket Australia XI and was sent back to India. Naturally, anybody would be disappointed with the turn of events. But now, Shaw is recuperating and is back on track. Now, he has taken inspiration from Ranveer Singh’s Gully Boy. The Indian opener took to Instagram and posted a fitness update. But what caught our attention was the caption of the snap which had Ranveer Singh’s song from ‘Gully Boy’. Aapna Time Aayega...Injury se Fit Hoke....Mein Aur Run Banayega...Apna Time Aayega... #gullycrickettointernationalcricket,” he wrote on Instagram.” Shaw had injured his ankle while attempting a catch. Mayank Agarwal was named Shaw's replacement.
Shaw donned the Indian cap last year in 2018 against West Indies. He scored a century in his debut match. In the second Test he scored 103 runs and went on to grab the Man of the Series award. He batted with an average of an average of 118.50. Recently, he was nominated for the Yono SBI Award. He posted a video of himself and thanked everyone for the award.

Shaw had recently revealed that he will be fit in time for the 12th season of Indian Premier League starting March 23. Shaw has been retained by Delhi Capitals for what will be his second season.
