Ravi Shastri became a victim of trolls after he was seen taking a nap during India vs South Africa 3rd Test, Day 3. As the India team was focussing on earning a victory with aiming to bag Proteas’ last two wickets, Team India head coach was caught taking a nap. In the photo, he was seen sleeping while sitting in the pavilion. Netizens reacted negatively to the event and trolled the Team India coach over the same. While some took a dig at the salary he gets as India coach, others spoke about cricketers’ reaction in the photo. Ravi Shastri Trolled After Reports of Sourav Ganguly Becoming New BCCI President, Dada's Fans Ask Team India Coach 'Ab Tera Kya Hoga'.

In the photo, Wriddhiman Saha and Shbhman Gill were also seen sitting beside the former Indian cricketer Shastri. Since Saha was seen in the photo, it is quite possible that the event occurred after he was replaced by Rishabh Pant for getting injured. Time to Sleep!

Power Nap!

Wake Up Sid!

Nightmare!

Wake Up BCCI!

This is not the first time that Shastri has become a victim of trolling on social media. Recently, Shastri was trolled after Sourav Ganguly became the new BCCI president. Netizens mentioned that Shastri will have to face issues under Ganguly, as both have been at loggerheads in the past. Both were at loggerheads when Anil Kumble was chosen over Shastri as Team India head coach in June 2016. Shastri was also trolled for sharing a photo in a 'Titanic Pose' during India vs West Indies 2019 series. Shastri was reappointed as Team India coach after ICC World Cup 2019.

Meanwhile, India are on the verge of victory after pushing South Africa to 132-8 in the second innings. Proteas are following-on in the match. India scored mammoth 497-9 in the first innings with Rohit Sharma’s double century. Proteas were bowled out for 162 in the first innings.
