The Pakistan bowling was not that great. Yes there was not a lot of assistance for them from the surface but the line and lengths were also not that great. Usman Khan was the only bright spot as he finished with a 4-fer. Had he got support, the story could have been a lot better for the hosts.

Another excellent batting performance from the Australian batters! Their top order came to the fore once again. After being inserted, Finch and Khawaja went about their things quite smoothly. Their partnership accounted for 134 which laid the foundation for a big score. The skipper departed after scoring a half ton but Marsh continued the good work. He along with Khawaja amassed another excellent partnership before Usman was dismissed on 98. Maxwell then came out all guns blazing and provided the much-needed impetus his team needed. His 33-ball 70 ensured Australia finish with something above 300.
