In Pakistan, a video of a bride in Lahore who entered her mehndi programme inside a moving cake has gone viral. Former Pakistan captain Wasim Akram’s wife Shaniera also shared the viral video and tagged her husband. Shaniera also asked Akram why he never told her this was a thing when they got married five years ago. Shaniera also went on to express her desire to get remarried in that very style.

During his playing days, Akram was diagnosed with diabetes, but that did not stop him becoming one of the greatest fast bowlers of all time. The left-armer was diagnosed with diabetes when he was 29. Akram and Shaniera, an Australian, got married in 2013. The Australian is Akram’s second wife. Akram married Huma Mufti in 1995 who died in 2009 due to multiple organ failure. They had two sons from their marriage. Four years after the Huma’s death, Akram married Shaniera and later she gave birth to a girl.
