Serie A 2018 game between Napoli vs Inter-Milan turned out to be a nasty one. Kalidou Koulibaly, Napoli defender was allegedly abused racially by Milan fans. The player from Senegal constantly heard monkey noises being directed to him throughout the game. However, Kalidou was sent away after he picked up a couple of yellow cards. CR7 took to social media and stood by Kalidou after the incident. He posted a picture with the Napoli footballer and said that football has no place for racism. “In the world and in football I always want education and respect. No to racism and any offense and discrimination !!!,” read the caption of the post.

Napoli coach Carlo Ancelotti said that the team asked for the match to be suspended thrice as there was no action being taken. "We asked three times for the match to be suspended and three times they made the announcements [over the public address system]," he told Sky Sport Italia. "Koulibaly was nervous and the mood at the time was not the best. We asked them to suspend the game three times but it continued. We keep being told play can be halted, but when? After four or five announcements? He further said.

Koulibaly went took to Twitter and wrote that he was proud of his skin colour. “I'm sorry for the defeat and above all for having left my brothers! "But I'm proud of the colour of my skin. Of being French, Senegalese, Neapolitan: man,” read his tweet.
