Neymar Jr did not have a great 2022-23 season with Brazil and PSG last time around as he got knocked out of FIFA World Cup 2022 in the Quarter final and then got injured and could not participate in the Ligue 1 football for months. Currently there are reports of him looking to change clubs although nothing has been confirmed yet. Neymar is still not entirely sure about playing the next World Cup in 2026. Amidst that he recently faced a few personal problems regarding his life and he issued an apology for cheating on his girlfriend Bruna Biancardi. Neymar's father was arrested from Neymar's mansion in Mangaratiba. The arrest operation was reportedly carried out by Mangaratiba City Hall and the Civil Police. The agents of the municipality's Environmental Protection Group were also involved in the operation. The authorities who arrested Neymar's father, received a complaint about Neymar's father having built an alleged artificial lake, which 'promotes deforestation, rock breaking and diversion of a river'. 'Brother.....We Tried Everything' Neymar Jr Pens Down Emotional Note as Lionel Messi Leaves PSG (See Post).

The lake clashed with a number of environmental fractions, including 'diversion of water course, abstraction of river water without authorisation, abstraction of water for artificial lake, earthworks, excavation and movement of stones and rocks without authorisation.' Neymar Da Silva Santos was said to be arguing with Mangaratiba's secretary of the environment, Shayenne Barreto, prior to his arrest.  He was later released after getting fined five million Brazilian reals and was also cautioned  that those in charge of carrying out the work need 'more education'.
