Paulo Dybala has been dropped from Argentina's national team for the upcoming 2022 FIFA World Cup Qualifier after being initially called to play for them. Paulo Dybala has had a difficult start to the new season which has seen the Argentine lose his place in the Juventus starting XI in recent weeks. The 26-year-old has participated in three of Juventus’ seven Serie A games and is yet to make his season debut in the Champions League, much of it is down to his injury struggles.

Paulo Dybala recently took part in Juventus' clash against Lazio and came off the bench replacing Cristiano Ronaldo. However, the Argentine’s impact wasn’t as planned as the Bianconeri conceded a late equaliser to share points with the team from Rome. Following that game, Argentine released a statement informing about the 26-year-old’s injury.

Argentina after dropping Paulo Dybala from the upcoming qualifiers, in their official statement said that the forward is showing general genitourinary symptoms and needs rest and will not take part in upcoming international games. However, the national team have further stated that they will re-evaluate the 26-year-old’s condition.

Paulo Dybala also missed Argentina’s qualifying match against Bolivia in October. Lionel Scaloni’s men first host Paraguay and then travel to Peru for their upcoming games in 2022 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers. The Selecao have won both their games so far in the qualifying campaign.
