The Indian shooters are blazing guns at the on-going Asian Shooting Champions 2019 in Doha, Qatar as it is raining medals for the country at the tournament in both men and women’s category. It was Srikant Dhanush who clinched a gold medal for India in the 10 m Air Rifle contest in the junior category as he defeated China’s Jiang Xuanle who stood on number two with 245.7 points. Dhanush had 248.2 points. India’s Tushar Shahu Mane stood third and clinched a bronze medal with 226.4 points. Tejaswini Sawant Secures 12th Olympic Quota for India in Asian Shooting Championship 2019.

When it came to the women, Shreya Agrawal and Khushi Saini who brought glory to India by clinching silver and bronze medal. Shreya shot 632.1 points for qualifying and 250.6 in the finals. Shreyas went on to defeat China’s Yan Jinjing who stood on number two. Khushi Saini stood on number three with 228.8 points in the finals and thus clinched the bronze medal.

Earlier it was Saurabh Chaudhary who clinched silver medal at the 10-meter air pistol event.  Chaudhary, 17, shot 244.5 in the final to finish second on the podium behind North Korea's Kim Song Guk, who won the gold with a world record 246.5 at the Lusail Shooting Complex.
