Vinesh Phogat appealed to the CAS for being awarded a joint-silver medal in the Paris Olympics 2024 Women's 50 Kg freestyle wrestling category, which was later refuted by the CAS. Now they release the detailed judgement.

After the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) ruled against the appeal from Vinesh Phogat that she is ineligible to be awarded silver medal, they have now released a detailed 24-page judgement explaining their decision. The CAS stated although that they see no wrongdoing from Vinesh's part and despite the fact that they feel the rules are draconian, the UWW rules state that she had to be eligible for both days and nothing was stated about partial eligibility.
