Nothing is preparing to increase the price of the Nothing Phone 4a in India by up to Rs 3,000 across all variants, effective August 1, 2026. As a persistent global memory crisis continues to inflate component costs, hardware manufacturers are increasingly struggling to maintain previous retail price points.

As per a report by India Today, an internal retail memo obtained from company channels outlines the upcoming market operating price revisions. Other major smartphone brands, including Samsung, Xiaomi, Vivo, and Realme, have similarly introduced upward price revisions as production expenditures mount across the industry. Xiaomi Price Hike: Smartphone Prices Increased in India Due to Memory Crisis; Check List of New Rates.

Following the official retail directive, the base model featuring 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage will climb from INR 39,999 to INR 42,999.

Higher storage configurations are also impacted by the revision. The 8GB and 256GB version will increase from INR 43,999 to Rs 46,999, while the top-tier 12GB and 256GB model will cost INR 49,999, up from INR 46,999.

Industry Impact and Market Context

The continuous adjustments highlight broader pressures within the mobile sector, where high-end memory expenses have escalated significantly. Previously, company executives noted that premium component values complicate affordable tier launches. Samsung Galaxy S27 Ultra Price Hike Alert.

The ongoing cost constraints have also forced the London-based brand to shelve secondary hardware projects for the year. The revised pricing strictly applies to new stock units billed from August onwards.
