Mumbai, February 5: Oppo has entered the third and final phase of its ColorOS 16 rollout, bringing the Android 16-based operating system to a wide range of its smartphones and tablets. The deployment, which initially commenced in late October, has now expanded to include the flagship Find series, the mid-range Reno and F series, and the Oppo Pad tablets.
While a significant portion of the company’s portfolio has already transitioned to the new software, the update continues to be released in batches. This phased approach ensures system stability but means that some users may see the notification a few days later than others depending on their region and specific model variant. ColorOS 16 Features and Compatibility
The latest update introduces several enhancements focused on performance and user interface refinements. Leading the transition are the flagship models, including the Oppo Find N5, Find X8, and Find X8 Pro. The foldable segment is also well-supported, with the Find N3 and Find N2 Flip already receiving the stable build.
The Reno series remains a primary focus for this update cycle. Devices such as the Reno 14, Reno 14 Pro, and the Reno 14 Diwali Edition have been prioritised. Additionally, older models like the Reno 11 Pro and Reno 10 Pro+ are included in the current rollout phase, extending the lifecycle of these previous-generation handsets.
Oppo Software Update Rollout; Eligible Smartphones
For users in the budget and mid-tier segments, the Oppo F29 Pro 5G and the K13 series have begun receiving the firmware. Tablet users are not left behind, as the Oppo Pad 3, Pad 3 Pro, and Pad 2 have also been confirmed to have started their respective updates.
Users can manually check for the availability of ColorOS 16 by navigating to the Settings menu, selecting System & Updates, and then tapping on Software Update. It is recommended to back up essential data and ensure the device has at least 50% battery or is connected to a power source before initiating the installation.
