Sriharikota, July 24: The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) on Wednesday informed that earth bound maneuvers for Chandrayaan 2 spacecraft are planned to be executed from Wednesday onwards. The first earth bound maneuver was launched successfully on Wednesday, tweeted ISRO. After GSLV MKIII M1 successfully placed Chandrayaan – 2 spcecraft into a highly elliptical orbit on July 22, 2019, further major activities include Earth bound maneuvers, Trans Lunar Insertion, Lunar bound maneuvers, Vikram Separation and Vikram Touch Down.

Chandrayaan 2 is India's second lunar mission. According to ISRO, the Chandrayaan 2 spacecraft is in "good health". "It is moving in the right direction," an official of the Bengaluru-headquartered ISRO told PTI.
