New Delhi, May 3: Snapchat will soon roll out new features for its users, including the ability to edit sent messages and a range of new AI features. The updates from Snapchat is expected to bring a sense of relief to users who have ever sent an embarrassing text on Snapchat.
As per a report of English Jagran, Snapchat is introducing the option to edit sent messages, a feature that has become increasingly popular in messaging apps. Users will have a limited time period of five minutes to make edits to their messages before they are locked in. This feature will be exclusive to Snapchat+ subscribers initially, offering them more control over their sent messages. The enhanced functionality will first be rolled out for Snapchat+ members, who subscribe for Rs 49 or USD 3.99 per month, as per a report of Times of India.
New AI Features on Snapchat
Snapchat is not only introducing message editing but also a range of new AI-powered features. Users can now interact with the app's My AI chatbot to set reminders for important deadlines, create custom clothes for their Bitmoji avatars and transform selfies with AI Lenses. The Snapchat lens introduces AI capabilities inspired by the 90s AI lens filter and with this innovative feature, users can transform their selfie to resemble a photo taken in the early 1990s. Snapchat has recently introduced the option to use standard emojis for reactions as well. To send an emoji reaction, simply tap on the chat you wish to react to, click on the '+' icon and then pick from the available list of standard emojis. Additionally, users can send emoji reactions to messages and react to friend’s location updates on the Snap Map. These new AI features are expected to enhance user experience and engagement on the platform.
