Mumbai, October 3: Tecno Mobile India is set to launch a new smartphone under its Spark series - Spark 30C 5G in India on October 8. The Transsion holding subsidiary officially confirmed the arrival date of the budget phone, which will serve as a successor to Spark 20C. The 5G phone is said to pack a 48MP Sony camera and 120Hz display. It’s worth noting that Tecno recently unveiled the Spark 30C for select global markets along with other smartphones - Spark 30 and Spark 30 Pro.

The global-spec variant packs a 6.67-inch 120Hz LCD screen, MediaTek Helio G81 SoC, up to 8GB of RAM, up to 256GB storage, a 50MP dual rear camera, an 8MP selfie camera, a 5,000mAh battery with 18W charging, and more. Specification-wise, the India-spec Tecno Spark 30C will sport a 6.67-inch HD+ LCD panel with a 120Hz refresh rate and 1600X720 pixels resolution, featuring a punch-hole cutout to house the front camera. If launched with this display, it would be an upgrade from the predecessor’s 6.56-inch 90Hz panel. Under the hood, there could be a MediaTek-source Dimensity 6300 SoC, which will also be a jump from the Helio G36 SoC. For optics, there will be an AI-backed camera unit comprising a 48MP Sony sensor. It’s worth noting that the Spark 20C packed a 50MP sensor. The front camera will be an 8MP snapper for selfies and video calling. Under the hood, it will pack a 5000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support, the same as the predecessor.
