Several members of Character.AI's technical team are also expected to transition alongside him to support Disney's digital modernization initiatives.
Anand brings extensive industry experience to the media conglomerate, having spent fifteen years at Microsoft where he contributed to the development of the Azure cloud platform. He also held senior product leadership roles at Meta's Facebook and served as president and chief product officer at financial technology firm Brex.
Background and Strategic Focus
Before leading Character.AI, Anand built a strong track record in scaling consumer-focused products and infrastructure platforms.
