Mumbai, February 5: Xiaomi’s gaming-centric sub-brand, Black Shark, has officially unveiled its new high-performance gaming tablet for the global market. Following a series of teasers late last year, the device has now appeared on the brand’s global website, showcasing a compact 8.8-inch design tailored for mobile enthusiasts. Built with aerospace-grade aluminium alloy, the tablet weighs 332g and measures 7.7mm in thickness, positioning it as a portable alternative to larger mainstream tablets.

The Black Shark Gaming Tablet is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor, which features an octa-core CPU and a 40 TOPS NPU for artificial intelligence tasks. According to the manufacturer, the device has achieved an AnTuTu benchmark score exceeding 1.9 million. Under the hood, the tablet is equipped with 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB of UFS 4.0 storage, which can be expanded up to 2TB via a TF card. Thermal management is a primary focus, featuring a massive cooling structure that includes a large vapour chamber and multiple graphene sheets, totalling over 25,176 square millimetres of heat-dissipating material.

For connectivity, the Black Shark Gaming Tablet supports dual-band Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, and a DisplayPort output capable of 4K video. The audio system consists of symmetrical dual speakers powered by a K9 smart amplifier to provide immersive sound during gameplay.
