Xiaomi Mi Band 4 Officially Launched; Price, Features and Specifications

Xiaomi, the popular Chinese technology giant has officially unveiled the new Mi Band 4 at an event held in China. The new band 4 comes with a coloured AMOLED display featuring a 2.5D curved glass protection. The company has also announced several wrist band options for Mi Band 4 for the customers to match with user's preferences. The new fitness band also features a six-axis accelerometer sensor for monitoring physical activities on the move. Introduced as a successor to the Mi Band 3, the band will go on sale in China later this month. It is important to note that the Chinese technology giant hasn't revealed any global prices or availability concerning the Mi Band 4. As far as the China market is concerned, the Xiaomi Mi Band 4 is priced at CNY 169 (approximately Rs. 1,700) for the standard edition. On the other hand, the NFC variant is priced at CNY 229 (roughly Rs. 2,300). The company has also introduced a Mi Band 4 Avengers Series Limited Edition that is priced at CNY 349. The limited edition band is offered with three distinct bands, Marvel superhero watch faces, and a special Marvel Avengers' package. The smart wrist band is slated to go sale in the country from June 16 onwards. As a reminder, Xiaomi's Mi Band 3 was introduced in China last year at the same price of CNY 169.

The Xiaomi Mi Band 4 features a 0.95-inch colour AMOLED display with 120x240 pixels resolution and a 2.5D glass protection. The new version of the fitness band supports touch inputs and built-in microphone for voice commands.

Xiaomi has also integrated payment mode on the new Mi Band 4 wherein the user needs to swipe the screen for showing QR code on the band to make payments on the go.

Featuring built-in microphone on Mi Band 4, the fitness band is capable of recognising voice commands. The company claims that the users can send voice commands through the new Mi Band 4 to control compatible connected devices.

The AMOLED display screen on the Mi Band can provide information about physical activity and notifications regarding voice calls and text message notifications. The users can also use the fitness band for finding the phone or changing music track with just one tap. The device can also provide updates regarding live weather and the stock market. Xiaomi claims that the Mi Band 4's screen features 77 colourful watch faces, 6 sports modes and everything that was offered on the predecessor. The company also claims that the wrist band comes with a battery life of 20 days on a single charge.
