Helicopter Crashes While Covering Bus Collision
The aircraft, identified as NewsChopper4, was being used by NBC Los Angeles to provide aerial coverage of the earlier crash when it went down in a commercial area of Chatsworth.
NBC Los Angeles confirmed that its helicopter had crashed shortly before 7 pm. The aircraft was described by the Los Angeles Fire Department as being heavily damaged in the crash.

At Least 3 Killed, One Person Hospitalised
Officials said at least three people died in the helicopter crash. Authorities were still working to determine how many people were aboard the aircraft and whether all of the victims were inside the helicopter. At least one person was taken to a hospital following the crash. Their condition was not immediately known.
The crash also sparked fires on the ground, damaging four vehicles and two storage containers. More than 50 firefighters responded to the scene, and the flames were brought under control.

The helicopter had been covering another serious accident in the area. About two hours before the helicopter crash, an SUV collided with a Los Angeles city bus, killing at least two people and injuring six others, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
