A Miami woman was arrested on Monday, September 7, following an altercation with her neighbour, during which authorities allege she forced her way into the victim's residence and threw a bucket of human faeces (poop) inside over a suspected affair with her husband. Yirsi Machado Rivera, 50, was taken into custody by the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office and faces charges including burglary of an occupied dwelling and battery.
Incident and Allegations
According to an arrest affidavit, the incident unfolded at a split trailer located in the Royal Country Mobile Homes at 5572 NW 200th Terrace, reports WFLA. Investigators state that Machado Rivera approached the victim's side of the structure and began banging on the door. Once the door was opened, Machado Rivera allegedly accused the neighbour of having a s*xual relationship with her husband. The report indicates that Machado Rivera then forced her way into the home without permission, shoved the occupant, and threw a bucket containing human faeces before leaving. “The defendant stated to the witness that she pooped in a bucket to throw in the victim’s face,” the affidavit states.
Suspect's Statement to Detectives
During a subsequent interview with detectives, Machado Rivera offered a different account of events. She claimed she was merely attempting to dispose of a bucket of waste because her home's toilet was broken. According to the affidavit, Machado Rivera stated that an argument erupted between her and the victim regarding the odour and the ongoing plumbing issue. She further claimed that the victim struck her over the head with a bat, resulting in a laceration, while denying that she entered the neighbour's home or threw the contents of the bucket at her. Following the investigation, law enforcement arrested Machado Rivera and transported her to the Northwest District Police Station pending further legal proceedings.
