Akshay Kumar's mother, Aruna Bhatia died on September 8. Her health condition was deteriorating for the past few days. Aruna Bhatia was admitted to Mumbai’s Hiranandani hospital. She was in the ICU. The actor mourned his mother in a tweet on September 8. He wrote, “She was my core. And today I feel an unbearable pain at the very core of my existence. My maa Smt Aruna Bhatia peacefully left this world today morning and got reunited with my dad in the other world.” Akshay returned home from the UK on September 6 following his mother’s deteriorating health.
