A shocking video of Sinha, a top district official in Haryana asking police personnel to ensure that farmers who are protesting against BJP leaders get "head injuries" has gone viral on the internet. His action drew widespread criticism from people, including BJP MP Varun Gandhi. Rahul Gandhi tweeted a very disturbing picture of a man whose white kurta pajama was covered with blood. He tweeted, “Again the blood of farmers is shed... and India bows its head in shame.” Farmer leader Rakesh Tikait compared CM Manohar Lal Khatter’s behaviour with that of General Dyer. Farmers had stopped traffic on a highway while heading towards Haryana's Karnal to protest against a BJP meeting.
